I'll do a quick update now just to make sure there's no super wrong ranges on here that shouldn't be, Diamanda Galas is now E2 - F7 and Kyo is only E1 - C♯7. also need to remove all the incomplete threads.
After a lot of work and compiling, I have decided to make a start on bringing our Pantheon to the TRP website - in infographic form! I have linked the blog post I made today which details how the Pantheon on the site will work - every few months or so, I'll make another "part" of the pantheon (with different singers) so that by the end of it all, we'll have an extremely thorough, detailed list of the vocal ranges of more-or-less every singer on TRP.
The main reason I did this was the same reason Mana started compiling the Pantheon in the first place - so that TRP can finally establish our very own list for comparing and contrasting the singers. The VVN list published in 2014 (which I would rather not link) was both inaccurate and outdated; many of the larger ranges were listed as larger than they are here and the smaller ones were listed as smaller. In doing the Vocal Range Pantheon for the TRP website, I hope we can improve upon various other attempts to list singers' vocal ranges and finally make an accurate and completed database.
The singers I used this time were all in VR&D and spanned across a range (pun not intended) of genres and styles, and this is how I anticipate I shall do these Pantheon entries in the future. I'll make another one of these Pantheon entries again in a few months, so if you feel certain genres or "types" of singer (I plan on including some more metal names in the next entry, as I'm aware I neglected them here) were over or underrepresented, I'd appreciate it if you let me know. Similarly, if anyone has any thoughts or requests pertaining to how I could improve on this format (or if any of the information listed in the blog post seems incorrect) please don't hesitate to let me know.
If a lot of people love each other, the world will be a better place to live.
public service announcement: those of you with threads that need auditing have been tagged in the extremity police!!! spoiler box (please note that i did not put all of them in there and as such may not be able to adequately answer your questions)
An idea - would be cool to have another spoiler listing 'universal' lowest and highest notes, split by sex [females & males listed separately] à la a more up-to-date & accurate version of this part of criticofmusic's site. Something I'm sure many members would take a great interest in.
